Dragon Boat Racing involves teams paddling in synchrony to power their long, narrow boats through the water. Each team consists of a group of paddlers, a drummer to maintain rhythm, and a steersperson to guide the boat. The challenge lies in achieving perfect coordination and unity to propel the boat forward swiftly and efficiently.
Our experienced instructors will provide a comprehensive briefing on dragon boat techniques, safety guidelines, and the importance of teamwork. Participants will learn how to paddle effectively, synchronise their strokes, and work together seamlessly to achieve maximum speed and performance. No prior experience is required, making Dragon Boat Racing accessible to participants of all fitness levels and abilities.
What’s included?
With the help of our facilitators onsite, we will provide a full safety brief and provide tuition before letting you out on the water! Once your teams have gained confidence on the water how to manoeuvre the Dragon Boats, we shall arrange competition against each other.
