Vorwerk Annual Conference Services

> BRIEF

In early 2017, new client Vorwerk contacted our team to deliver conference services for their Annual National Team Leader Conference. The aim was to get Team Leaders together, be the first the see the launch of the Cook-Key and be trained on the new product demonstration. They should return home well trained, motivated and feeling inspired to make the most of their Thermomix business and their teams. Vorwerk want to make the Team Leaders feel special and that their hard work is being recognised.

> Scale

There were approximately  60-80 team leaders, along with 15-20 employees from head office, branch managers and area managers.

> Solution

The client wanted a venue that offered relaxed and intimate surroundings where they could spend time outdoors and enjoy the weather. The location was open, as long as it was an accessible place in the UK in terms of transport links. Bristol, Brighton or London were asked not to be considered as conferences had previously been held there.

We suggested two venues – Shrigley Hall near Manchester Airport and Hellidon Lakes, Daventry. We completed a tour of both venues with a full site inspection and the client chose Shrigley Hall as the grandeur of the building fitted more with the feel they wanted for the conference.

We used our delegate registration solution to register delegates onto the conference and for them to put forward travel preferences. The delegate manager had a report of how many flights and trains to book. The system was also used as a communication tool for delegates.

A stage set was designed to be clean and sleek to replicate the Thermomix branding guidelines. They asked for something basic as the emphasis would be on the demonstration of the new product. We used a white backdrop for the stage set with green Thermomix branding and dark grey carpet with lectern. This was complimented by speakers and lighting. There were two relay screens to show the content along with a HD camera for video and a photographer to capture the events of the day.

As part of our conference services we offered ideas to create a fun element to the eventing. For this we suggested a salsa workshop as the client had given us an idea of the audience and what they liked. They wanted something fun and interactive so dancing fitted well. It was a real hit with them all. As it was summer and the client wanted to make use of the outdoor space the venue had to offer, they chose to have a BBQ for the evening meal after the conference. This was then followed by a DJ and disco.
