Urban Blue can provide everything from light Jazz to high energy party music that will guarantee to fill the dance floor.

The band perform jazz standards, soul music and pop classics as a flexible 2-6 piece band and are available for any event.

From background jazz with or without vocals to a funky six-piece band featuring soul and pop classics, Urban Blue can create a sophisticated atmosphere for your function or really get the party started on the dance floor – and we can do it all in the same evening!

Our experienced and enthusiastic musicians are the perfect choice for wedding receptions, corporate functions, private parties and similar -The emphasis is on jazz standards, but Urban Blue also cover a few pop and soul vocal numbers, and can often arrange to make sure and play your favourite songs, whatever the style.

As well as the vocal-led ensembles, which can be between two and six pieces, Urban Blue are also available as a purely instrumental ensemble, ranging anything from James as a solo pianist up to a six piece band.

When performing as an instrumental group, material ranges from cocktail jazz and smooth standards, to latin and funk standards when appropriate. As an instrumental band, Urban Blue is incredibly versatile - they can perform anything from background cocktail music, to a whole set of funk and latin dance tunes with a band including brass section and a percussionist, to get your dance floor grooving - and unlike most bands, they can cover all of these styles in one evening!

Urban Blue are well aware of the need for a professional attitude and presentation. They are particularly experienced in wedding receptions, but are perfect for corporate functions, private parties and similar –
