Streets Ahead

An indoor and outdoor activity custom written for any town or city worldwide. This urban orienteering game combines both physical and mental challenges with local, historical insight. Team members take on roles as ‘runners’ or ‘thinkers’ who between them navigate the streets, completing tasks and solving clues in a race against the clock. Communicating using mobile phones, each team is provided with maps and reference books as the ’runners’ head out onto the local streets, equipped only with a compass and Polaroid camera!

Streets Ahead is a team-based event with contestants acting as either ‘runners’ or ’thinkers’ in an effort to work co-operatively and solve clues, whilst navigating through the streets of a chosen destination. After being allocated their essential kit, the ‘runners’ are sent out onto the streets, with the ‘thinkers’ staying at 'base-camp' to solve the clues and guide their ‘runners’ to specific destinations. Teams must only use their compass and mobile phone communication in a race to successfully complete their tasks first before returning to the central location. Our lively compère will keep everyone up to date throughout the race, with news and information appearing on a giant scoreboard.
